Short hair for all my friends!!!!

....again!  Once again, I have gone through the house with scissors and given every one a short, low maintenance  haircut....then they even styled it themselves, see?   It started because Gracey gave herself a cut a few days back and it was in desperate need of "evening up".  Of course, once Gracey got a haircut, everyone else needed one as well.  Jake, though not pictured here, got his usual military cut as well.  I love the girls with long hair, but I must say the time spent not dealing with squirming and brushing is great.
For a quick baby update....we are at due date minus 2 days!  I'm hoping to see our little one anytime now, hopfully by Wednesday or Thursday or I have a feeling we may be inducing.  Please keep praying for a healthy baby and safe delivery, as well as for the other little ones who will be getting lots of extra love and snuggles from Nana and Pa while we're in the hospital.
We'll keep you "posted".  :)

This pose isn't something you can teach...either your a diva, or your not.  :)

A word of encouragement

Here is a quote by Charles Spurgeon that  we read in church on Sunday:

"Remember, sinner, it is not your hold of Christ that saves you- it is Christ.  It is not your joy in Christ that saves you- it is Christ.  It is not even your faith in Christ (though faith is the instrument)- it is Christ's blood and His merits.  Therefore, do not look  to your hope, but to Christ, the source of your hope.  Do not look to your faith in Christ, but to Christ, the author and finisher of your faith.  If you do that, ten thousand devils cannot throw you down.  It is not prayer, it is not faith, it is not your doings, it is not your feelings upon which we must rest, but upon Christ and on Christ alone!"

Facebook

I just joined Facebook and apparently just stepped into the 21st century.  I know I will be so bad at keeping up with my blog AND Facebook, but it looked like a neat way to reconnect with lots of people from the past.  Moving around as often as we do, I hate to admit that I've let most of my correspondence fall by the wayside.  However, in an effort to reconnect, I've posted by blog address on my Facebook account.  So... if your visiting here via Facebook, leave a comment or send me an email so I can know who's reading.
Facebook? Blog?  What a geek am I, but it's fun, isn't it?

It's been a while...

Okay, so  I am so very far behind in posting.  I have pictures to post and funny stories to share, but it seems things have been a bit busy lately.   I'll be back to posting in the very near future (hopefully this weekend) but wanted to give a quick update.
We're still patiently awaiting the arrival of our next little boy and I'm currently about 2 1/2 weeks from my official due date.  Most of you know that our other kids were a bit on the large side at birth, but this little guy seems to have slowed down significantly and seems to be on track to be a normal sized baby, somewhere in the 7 lb range right now.   That's going to seem so tiny!  We're still praying for his safety and a good delivery and eagerly awaiting the day we can see his little face.  It still seems so strange to me that we wouldn't have had this baby had we not lost our last baby.  I know that isn't theologically sound to phrase it that way, but you know what I mean.  I know that God ordained everyday of Jordan's life...and that He also has ordained every minute for this little guy as well.  Truly, God is God and I am not.  I am, however, immensely thankful for His blessings.  He is the God who gives and takes away.  Only He, in His goodness, could do that and it still be GOOD!
